Crew and gear, one request, four steps
Putting a shoot together in Morocco used to mean a dozen phone calls: one for the camera, one for the gaffer, one for the sound recordist, and a surprise at the counter. Gear House puts the people, the gear, the prices and the rules on one list, gets you one quote, and keeps the human part on WhatsApp, where it belongs.
Build your list
Pick crew by name: gaffers, operators, focus pullers, sound recordists, each with their reel, credits and day rate. Add the camera, lenses, lights and a studio if you need one. Every gear page shows the day, 3-day, weekly and monthly rates, and how the deposit works. No account needed.
Send the request
Choose your shoot dates, pickup or delivery, describe the shoot and accept the rules. You get a reference number and a pre-written WhatsApp message to send us. Takes two minutes.
We confirm on WhatsApp
We check that each crew member is free on your dates and that the gear is in stock, propose swaps if something is out, then send one final quote and your pickup slot. Nothing is booked until we confirm. Cinema-tier builds get a prep call with our tech.
Pick up, pay, shoot
Bring your CIN and the deposit for the gear. We go through every piece on camera together, you sign the condition report and pay on the spot. Your crew meets you on set at the call time you agreed.
Booking a person, not a role
Crew are booked and invoiced through Gear House, on the same quote as your gear. Need a role nobody is listed in yet? Say so in your request and we'll find someone. Work on Moroccan sets yourself? Join the crew →
Settled on the spot. Nothing online.
We don't take card payments on the website. That's on purpose. You see the gear, we check it together, you pay. That's how trust works on a Moroccan set, and it means there's never a charge for gear you haven't touched. Crew, gear and studio come on one invoice from Gear House.
What you bring to the counter
Identity
Moroccan CIN, or passport plus a proof of address for visitors. We keep a copy for the duration of the rental and delete it after return. Companies: the signatory's ID plus the company's ICE.
Deposit: a guarantee cheque
A guarantee cheque (never cashed). The amount is set by the rental partner and confirmed with your quote. Payment is on the spot at pickup. Returned the moment the check-in is signed. The deposit covers gear only; there is none for crew.
Condition report
We film every piece, serial numbers and all, at handover and again at return, together with you. You get the video. No arguments, no surprises, no "it was already like that".
Days, weekends, late returns
We come to set
Delivery or collection is a flat 400 MAD per trip within the city the gear is in. Anywhere else in Morocco, from Tangier to Ouarzazate, it's quoted per job from 1 500 MAD. Add a technician to travel with the gear for cinema packages (crew rates apply).
01Can I change the list after sending?
Yes. Reply in the WhatsApp thread with your reference. We update the quote until the gear is prepped (usually the evening before pickup).
02What if something breaks on set?
Call us first. We'll talk you through it or swap the unit as fast as we can, often the same day. Repairs are billed at the manufacturer's quote; a lost item at its replacement value, minus the deposit already held.
03Do you rent to students?
Yes. Essential and pro tiers with CIN + guarantee cheque, and a 20 % student discount on weekdays with a valid film-school card (ESAV, ISMAC, ISCA and others). Cinema tier requires a company or a producer's guarantee.
04Do you work with foreign productions?
Daily. VAT exemption is possible on export-service invoices with the right paperwork; we can connect you with licensed production-service companies for CCM shooting permits and the 30 % cash rebate. More →
05Do the crew speak English or French?
Every crew profile lists the languages that person works in. For foreign productions we supply English, French and Arabic-speaking crew. Tell us in the request and we'll match accordingly.
